When your personality is a huge part of your business, your branding photos should reflect it.
That was exactly the goal behind my recent branding photoshoot with Megan Schici, franchise owner of House of Colour in Lithia, FL. Megan is a color analyst, style expert, and image consultant, and her vibrant, bubbly personality fits her business perfectly. She wanted images that felt professional and polished while still capturing the fun, colorful energy that makes her and her brand so memorable.
We booked a half-day branding photoshoot and designed the session around the different ways Megan shows up in her business.
We started the day in Megan’s color analysis studio. This is where she works with clients directly and helps them discover their colors, makeup, and personal style. Rather than just photographing Megan posing in her studio, we captured her doing what she actually does–working with model clients, demonstrating her process, interacting with them, and sharing her expertise. We also created professional headshots, lifestyle images, behind-the-scenes photos, branded stock images, and flatlays featuring some of the makeup products she sells.
The goal was to create a collection of images that could be used across her website, social media, marketing materials, and future content for months to come–and that’s exactly what resulted.

For the second half of the session, we moved to another studio where Megan also works. This gave us the opportunity to create something a little different. We created a colorful swatch wall specifically for the shoot and used it to create fun, eye-catching portraits that felt completely on-brand for Megan.
We also captured cutout-style images that can easily be incorporated into social media graphics, website designs, and other marketing materials. These were some of my favorite images from the day because they weren’t something we could have created just anywhere. They were intentionally designed around Megan’s business and personality.
Q: Why should a personal stylist or color consultant invest in branding photography? Because trust sells this kind of business. Clients are choosing to work closely with Megan, one-on-one, often on something deeply personal like how they present themselves to the world. Photos that show her real personality — vibrant, warm, professional — help potential clients feel comfortable before they ever book a session.
Q: What should a color analyst or image consultant include in a branding photoshoot? A strong mix of headshots, in-action process shots, product flatlays, and personality-driven lifestyle images, ideally shot in the actual space where the consultant works with clients. This combination shows both expertise and approachability, which are equally important in a service like color and style analysis.

Whether you’re a stylist, consultant, franchise owner, or any kind of service-based business owner, your photos should feel like you. They should be polished enough to reflect your expertise, and personal enough to show why clients love working with you. If you’re ready for a branding photoshoot that captures both, send me a message and let’s start planning your session.
